Our design trip for this semester final project was in Kuantan. The old cowboy city itself.
Before setting our feet to the city, we had our pit stop at one of the architecture school in Pahang, Kolej Shahputra. Our studio master gave an Architectural talk on creative processes and design. It was about an hour and a half talk. But before the talk, the Shahputra architecture students preview to us their work and kudos to them. They were great creative designs. 
‘Walking as a Creative Process to Design’.
This topic talks about how through walking; in cities or sub-urban areas, we gain our knowledge and also generates creativity for designs. It was a teaching method started by Aristotle known as peripatetic. No, it is not very pathetic, but PERIPATETIC. A method whereby Aristotle and his students will walk around Greece and at a certain point of interest, they will stop and Aristotle will start giving his lecture on it. And yes, my lecturer was very focused on this method of learning.
So instead of us being dropped by the bus at a certain location our desired site, we were dropped off at Teluk Chempedak and had to actually walked around 60-70 miles just to get to Kuantan. Yep ! And right after we reached Kuantan, we walked around the city some more. So you can just imagine how exhausted we all were!
I would like to elaborate myself what is peripatetic but i am sure that you can search for it yourselves online. But..just to fill the blog so that it would be full of entry..i shal elaborate it myself soon.. 
After the visit from Shahputra, we headed to the resort. Stayed in De Rhu Beach which is about half an hour from the city and only started our journey to Bandar Kuantan the next morn. The site were divided into 3 big groups and it is entirely up to the students in each respected groups to choose their on site. Our lecturers were very flexible on the site; of course with certain limitation of the area size and such, and also it is an open brief project which is based on the destruction and catastrophe of either pre, post or current ones.
We are still going on with our brief presentation and was just after our critique session on thursday. The tutorials will be this coming monday and i have yet to finish doing my presentation and research for my design.
